  1. Now, I'm no expert, but as far as I know, lower impedance muffles the sound of the guitar, making it less bright, and lowers the signal level. So I think there's some sort of impedance confusion going on here. Set the input impedance on your Helix to Auto and try it like that. Also, when you do A/B the pedals, use as simple a preset as possible. Just the pedal and amp. And if you're using a real pedal in the send loop of the Helix, I am not sure how impedance is handled in that case. It may very well be that mismatched impedance is the root cause here.
  2. Maybe someone spilt their drink on it. Can you see any sticky residue around and under the knobs? If that's the case, then the unit needs to be taken apart and cleaned. I would not advise doing this on your own if you don't know what you're doing.
  3. Hello, So I just noticed this weird thing that the delay effects on the HD500x do... It really does sound like a grunt. Simple setup: Get a clean amp (I'm using the Hiway, standard settings and with a bit more volume so I can hear it), and place a digital delay in front of it, with 440ms delay. Now just play the highest fret on the high E string and bend it up a tone. When I do that I hear a low frequency grunt. Is anyone else getting this? Is this what a real delay pedal does? Thanks.
