I currently play in an acoustic duo with following setup:
Lead vocal + keyboard/cajon (cajon may be optional)
Backing vocal + acoustic guitar
We're looking to buy a PA that will be suitable for our current setup, and which we can then expand as required when we (hopefully) add a third person to the acoustic act (guitar + vocal) and eventually build it into a full band.
The Line 6 setup looks great, but is a fairly large initial outlay if we go for an M20D plus speakers and monitors. As a duo playing small/medium size pub gigs, would we need an M20D from the outset, or could we get away with say a couple of L2t speakers initially using their onboard mixers? If we did this, could we also add a monitor to this setup, or would we need 1 monitor per main speaker?
Any recommendations for setups and progression recommended!
