  1. i am using the same speakers for both i guess there is no way of properly demonstrating the issue to you. because i cant record the live monitored signal for you to compare agains a recorded file. i tried audacity and got the same problem. you play something you like , and it sounds great when live monitoring it . you switch off monitoring and record in audacity or cubase or ableton, then you play it back and all of the sudden it sounds worse. at first i thought maybe the sound coming out of the headphone jack in the pod is just better than USB. so i unplugged the US port and used a fast track pro as an audio interface taking the input signal directly from the headfone jack. no change !!! the signal still sounds worse. Actually coming to think of it i remember that i was able to replicate the sound by plugging my headphones direcly in to the pods left or right out put i just tried it right now and it sound way worse!! this is the sound quality i get when recording , the same i would hear if i plugged my head phones to any of the output ports. please forgive me if i sound stupid,i know what i am saying is a bit crazy.. but i could swear that whatever i am hearing noodling while direct monitoring sound way louder and cleaner than when its recorded!!! I know it sounds more of a DAW setting issue ,.but the thing that is making me reluctant to post it on the cubase forums is that it happens in 2 other daws!!
  2. even i i trun off live monitoring , the recorded sound is different from the sound i get if iturn live monitoring back on
  3. thank you for you responses. well no its the recorded track that sounds bad so practically what i mean is ,i am noodling on the guitar i come across an idea , so i open cubase put an audio mono track(the line 6 driver is the one i am using), then i record what i am playing, i know the sound gets phasey offcourse because i have direct monitoring on , but thats when i am playing , ,its the playback quality is what i dont like, it never sounds the same. maybe phasey is the wrong word to use here, but what i mean is that it gets unfocused and whimpyish a bit when i playback th recording i am talking like 15% worse . i dont know maybe its could be me then:)
  4. HI All, Did any one notice that when recording something in any DAW, the recorded sound always sound worse than the actual tone monitored(like having input monitoring turned on ) So i have my head phones connected to pod all the time and it always sounds good. when i record it in cubase or ableton. the quality of sound diminishes ..and sounds kinda phasey is that just me or do you get the same problem..?
