  1. I am pulling the trigger on a stomp and have a 500x. The midi control is key plus being able to offload time based effects to the 500x would mean never running out of blocks on the stomp. Anyone do this yet? My only real concern would be routing the stomp through the pod might significantly degrade the tone quality, although maybe that’s not a real problem. Probably go out of the stomp into the pod then out, vs using the loop on the stomp, heck in that case I can even take advantage of the xlr out on the pod since it doesn’t exist on the stomp. Hopefully by this weekend I’ll be up and running experimenting.
  2. It depends on your application, I just bought an HD500x to replace a Marshall dsl40c with TC Electronics G Major in the loop and a couple hundred dollars in pedals up front. Not a million dollar rig, but decent enough I think. Why? Because its a headache to run a very loud tube amp where I play, in a church setting. I can put this thing down, plug in power, guitar, and one line in and be done with it. At the same time I get a decent midi controller if I want to run my Marshall rig anywhere else.
  3. OK I figured out I was choosing the Pre amps instead of the regular ones...
  4. I must be doing something wrong here, but I cannot seem to find the amp parameters to adjust on either HD edit or on the device itself. I can adjust cam parameters, but nothing for sag, bias, etc.. For example, I have a SLO 100 Crunch Pre amp selected, but no amp parameters are available. I just got this 48 hours ago, and am feeling my way around. Thanks for any help!
  5. Answered my own question: Works like a charm! Redneck MIDI switching!
  6. I am having an issue with my wah pedal on the floorboard. It does not reach the zero position, as in when I have the pedal at the bottom, its still open a bit. The volume works fine, goes to total zero. I am using this as a midi controller and found this out, as the minimum position is about 22. Has anyone ever dealt with this before? Can the strip be re positioned or anything to make it go down to zero?
  7. That's one of the main drawbacks of the 2.0, a very limited delay effect. Very hard to get good huge sounds for ambient playing, you have to crank the reverb and the delay is only so long.
  8. I have a pod 2.0 with a Floorboard that I have been using for effects. I recently bought a rack effects unit and am looking for the cheapest possible way to control the unit via midi. I read somewhere that a pod 2.0 will transmit midi signals through the midi in/out when a floorboard is connected. So I want to try to connect the pod to my rack unit using midi cables, while at the same time keeping the floorboard connected to the pod, so that in theory when I hit something on the floorboard a midi signal will get sent to my rack unit, as long as that takes place I can probably program it to some extent to switch patches, etc... Does anyone know if this is possible, or has anyone tried it/done it for that matter? I just dropped $200 on the rack unit and cannot afford any midi controller, and I have all this line 6 hardware so I figured maybe its worth a shot.
