  1. I am looking for a cost effective solution to control the firehawks effects from a floor board. I am using only one patch for an piezo pickup equipped guitar. So I'm only needing to turn effects on and off. It's my understanding that this cannot be accomplished via midi. I realize the fbv3 and shortboard mk2 solve my problem, but also of concern to me is the ability to control the looper. The one button control appears to have its own issue. I was leaning towards some sort of multi effects unit in the effects loop of the firehawk so I could get effects and a looper with multi button function. Am I missing another solution? Thanks.
  2. I've owned a dt25 for three years now. Fantastic amp. However, the firehawk 1500 release did intrigue me. Mostly, the speaker set up. And I'm intrigued to the point of considering selling the DT25 and going for the firehawk. The way I see it, you get the same HD models plus additional models from other line 6 products. You lose the tube power amp section, but I have to be honest I'm not convinced the power amp section adds as much to the tone as the pre-amp section anyway. I do have two other tube amps, one is the Mesa TA-15 which also does british and American sounds, so the question becomes is it crazy to consider selling the DT25 for the Firehawk 1500? I'm curious if anyone has a strong opinion on this. I will of course demo the firehawk as soon as I can. Thanks.
  3. So I finally found the time to try it and it worked for the most part. The clean sounds work fine. It's the distortion channel I'm haivng trouble with, namely I feel like I'm getting just power amp and no pre-amp. There is very little distortion at settings where there should be plenty. Master volume on the POD is at 100%. The second amp in this set up is a Mesa Boogie single rectifier. I am using no pre-amps or amps of any kind in the pod. I have the FX loop right before the blank amp block on the B path going to the Mesa and it's on. The only adjustment I didn't have a chance to fiddle with was the effects loop mix knob on the back of the Mesa. I believe I left it set at 90% which might be too much effects signal and not enough of the amp's tone? Thanks for any help you can offer.
  4. Thanks for the help. So I would still use an FX loop box in channel B to be able to put effects upstream and downstream of the pre-amp, correct? And basically just like in ghost busters, don't cross the streams? :-)
  5. I hope this isn't a dumb question, but if I run my dt25 via L6 link is it possible to run a second amp with the same patches via the 4 cable method?
