  1. Hi all, quick question- do these two units use the same converters and anything else that will affect the results with 4CM, or does the floor have something going on which would make for better results? Asking because I have an HX Effects which results in noise and a bit of tone suck when in 4CM (and even just in front of the amp), and wondering whether I'm likely to have the same outcome if I found a good deal on a Helix Floor. Otherwise I'm looking at a used Fractal FX8- but I'm not sure I could live without scribble strips! TIA
  2. Thanks C4TH! I did a search before posting this thread but for some reason didn't see your one. I read the response from L6 that another user received saying that the issue was because the "global setting MENU > Global Settings > Switches > "Stomp Select" was set to "both"... Mine was actually set to 'press,' which causes the same problem. I've now set it to 'touch' which works as long as you have shoes on! I've had a Helix Floor in the past and found I had to disable touch because it was constantly activating when I didn't want it to. Seems like the lesser of two problems so I'm really happy to have resolved it. Thanks again!
  3. Seems odd that this guy doesn't have this problem- at 2.52 he steps on the switch for a snapshot and when he releases it shows the new target snapshot's name.
  4. This is annoying me no end... When using snapshots in stomp mode, is there a way to stop the scribble strip displaying 'Snapshot' with Type, Press and Release underneath and show the name of the snapshot instead after you've stepped on the switch? Put another way, the scribble strip of the last button you switched displays the edit parameters rather than the name of the snapshot or effect until another switch is pressed, which then changes the display of that scribble strip to the edit parameters. If there's no way to prevent this seems like a major oversight as you can't see which snapshot you're going to. This is a major problem when playing live!
