  1. Managed to try the POD with another power supply - no luck. Since it's not the power supply itself, does anyone have any other ideas as to what it might be? Cheers, Hotfuzz
  2. Thanks for the replies, Ill try and use another power supply sometime this week and see what happens. Cheers, Hotfuzz
  3. Hi all, About a week ago I was using a patch on my POD HD when all of a sudden the unit stopped working. I tried to turn it off and then back on but the only thing displayed on the LCD screen of the POD was a black square, and the unit was no longer being detected by my PC. There is also no sound coming out of the POD and it is completely unresponsive to any buttons. So far, I have tried disconnecting all cables and holding down different buttons (right directional, left directional, save etc.) as per people's suggestions on older threads but with no luck. The computer doesn't recognize the POD so I can't use Line 6 monkey to flash the firmware or update drivers. Any help would be appreciated. Cheers, Hotfuzz EDIT: It might be worth mentioning that the patch I was using before the POD crashed was giving warnings about a DSP limit - I'm not sure if this has anything to do with the problem.
  4. Dave, thanks for the reply. I agree, the problem with POD Edit HD and turning off the Pod can easily be worked around by not turning off the pod while POD Edit is open. My current work around is to always leave the pod on while using my computer - I left the pod on all day yesterday with my PC and didnt come across any problems. I think I'll just the leave the POD on all the time, it seems to work fine :) As for the problem with ableton and pod edit, i'll try using ableton without pod edit, see if that helps. I was mainly worried that these problems were symptoms of a bigger issue, but everything seems ok with the workaround. Thanks for the reply :) Hotfuzz
  5. Hey guys, I recently bought a POD HD Desktop (Bean) and had no problems for the first few days. However recently a few things have cropped up. The worst one was the Pod behaving very strangely - patches wouldn't transfer and it wasnt recognized by POD HD Edit. I fixed this by reinstalling the latest firmware drivers and changing the USB port the pod is plugged into and the problem seems to be fixed. The 2 major problems Im still having are still rather annoying. The first is that when the POD is disconnected/turned off while POD HD edit is open, my entire PC freezes (it becomes completely unresponsive). The other issue is to do with Ableton Live 9 (my recording software). When I change patches or open up the POD's onboard tuner, Ableton no longer recognizes the POD as an audio device, and Ableton itself starts acting very strangely (not playing tracks, highly unresponsive, etc.). This often leads to another system crash. Any help with these issues would be hugely appreciated as I've spent a lot of time trying to fix these problems with no luck. Cheers :)
