Spider IV 150hd Cab Cables and Cat6?

I tried using a Cat7 cable on my Fbv Shortboard MkII and it does not work. It lights up, but doesn’t control my amp at all. :( I really wanted a heavy duty cable for gigging but I guess I’ll have to find something else.
