relay g70 high pitched background noise

i fixed my problem by using the timelord adaptor from gigrig on my power supply, allowed me to isolate and provide enough juice from the supply i was already using -
when using my g70 there is a high pitched noise present at all times in the background, i am powering the unit from my gigrig generator power supply using the distributor box (non isolated). when using overdrive or similar the noise is louder (obviously), is this due to the non isolated power?
