  1. Sorry for the false alarm... I figured out a solution! I used the Line 6 Updater, but I had to force it to install because Big Sur said "it couldn't scan for malicious content". After forcing the software in, I reboot the Helix with foot switches 6 & 12. (Force Reboot, I think. It's the one that gives nothing but a blank screen) Then Updater could do its thing! Back up and running. (HX Edit is now working better too) I hope this helps someone else at some point... Have a great day!
  2. Hi Everyone! I haven't been here for a long time! I hope everyone's doing well. I just tried to load the latest firmware to my Helix LT. Using a MacBook Air with Big Sur. Successfully created a backup (I think) but the firmware update process failed. It said "restart and try again". But now the Helix won't boot up at all. I see the Helix logo for about a second and then a red line crawls across the screen. The screen stays black with the red line across it. I found a thread on here that showed a dozen different "factory reset tricks" by holding down foot switches while powering up, but none of them have had any effect. Black screen/red line. HX Edit says "no device connected". At this point the firmware update is inconsequential. I just want a living Helix again. Any thoughts? Greatly appreciate any and all support! Thanks everyone, Greg
