I use my hd500x as my audio interface for recording but want to control transport functions on my pc with the hd500x as well. Can I just get one of those midi to usb cables and plug it in to a second usb port on my pc to be able to control start/stop/record etc while using it as my audio interface? Or do I need to get a separate midi to usb interface?

I want to mount a tablet to a mic stand to use the HD500X edit software. I'm going from pc to tablet and so far I've never used the hd500x edit software on anything smaller than a 13" pc screen. I want a smaller screen but don't want to have to scroll side to side either. I also have never tried the hd500x edit software on a touchscreen yet so my 3 questions are. 1)What seems to be a good screen size when mounting to a mic stand? 2)How well does the HD500X edit software react with a touchscreen? 3)what are some good stand / mounting hardware combinations?
