  1. Thanks for everyone's response! I'll investigate your suggestions further and report back if I can get this working!
  2. Thanks for your responses! I know that I was able to accomplish switching patches using the selector switch on my old variax guitar with a POD XT, I can't remember how I did it but remember it was also pretty glitchy where sometimes it worked sometimes not. Yes I've been wanting to get educated using midi with the POD500x also. Sounds like as Rewolf48 suggested anything short of a firmware update would require using midi to accomplish this. Any suggested reading material to get an education on this? I was looking at buying a midi adapter for my laptop and using it with Ableton software I already have. What is this "Ideascale idea" you were referring to?
  3. Hi, I've been a longtime fan of Line 6 and I'm currently using the POD500x with a variax guitar. I wanted to know if it's possible to assign a specific HD500x patch (like Plexi) to position 1 of the 5 position selector on the variax guitar? This would be so much more convenient for changing between a acoustic sound and plexi patch during songs. When singing it's annoying having to look down at the pedal to stomp buttons with my foot, I could change the selector on the guitar so much easier. Anyone done this before? Thanks :D
