  1. I've had my G50 system for about 4-5 years. About 2 years ago my transmitter starting to crap out on me, battery door issues etc, and the thing eventually just fell apart. I haven't used it in about a year, but I decided to finally buy a new transmitter the other day. First thing I noticed is the warning about RF2 mode and might not work with older models. Well I guess my receiver was older than I thought and wouldn't even pick up a signal in RF2 mode. So I switched to RF1 and everything seemed to work great, for about 10 minutes that is. I started to noticed my guitar tone got really weak. The signal strength was at full bars but the tone just crapped out. The volume just kept dropping very low and picked up again randomly. I tried different cords and guitars but just seemed to cut out for no reason, sometimes lasting a couple minutes at max volume. I found one post with someone that had a similar problem and he fixed it by just plugging in the tuner out instead of the main out. Well this DOES WORK for me, but why? Are there any disadvantages to playing through the tuner out beside the mute button not working. I couldn't seem to figure out if it was a connection issue or has something to do with playing a newer model transmitter. Just want to make sure that it's ok to always play through the tuner out. If I'm able to just play fine without plugging into the main out, I'd rather not send it in for repair and waste more time and money.
