  1. Hi, I've bought helix lt few months ago along with mackie cr4 studio monitors, but i'm really not satisfied. They sound very muddy (130db is much louder than other freq), basicly even if i fix it up with eq my guitar sound very comparible using mackie monitors or my last home speakers (50$) and that's not a compliment for mackie's. I am now about to buy gretsch guitar from thomann and i thought of other speakers. I have read the other topics and already chosed my favourite, it's Yamaha hs7 (around my budget). I mean i want to buy one, at least don't have money to buy two xD I also play bass and they sound like **** too with mackies. Will yamaha hs7 work it out ? Regards
  2. All right. Thank you all for answers and ideas. I wasnt expecting That in Such a short Time. Truth is i am a Little deaf. I ve had an accident when i was a Child and nów i hear you can say good bass and treble but have a problem with hearing mids frequency. Maybe that is why i am pulling up mid often in my recordings. Maybe record isnt the best because of it but f.. It. I play for fun ;) i try to take care of my hearing, dont listen to headphones out of my home but when i play i dont care. I want to play loud, hear and feel it ;) i think i m gonna go with helix and guitar to a guy with hifi columns. See what is my impression and decide. Thankfully hes living close to me. And they are really cheap. What s important to me is i can eq this columns with bass treble mid knobs, that is what i cannot do with mackie with real time playing (i can use global eq but i cant or i think i cant use computer equalizer, i downloaded equalizer apo but its working only on music played like from youtube) Sorry for big words j am writing on phone. Ps: ;)
  3. Hello, I bought helix lt and simple guitar cabinet from harley benton with celestion g112 12'. I ran it through amp (not guitar, simple signal amp) and ... it was ok, but a little too loud for me and not very useful for recording because i used only amp simulation not cabinet. Sound on my DAW was of course different than what i heard in my room. I send back cabinet and bought monitors Mackie cr4. And i am really disappointed beacuse of a harsh bass, now i can hear clear what i play if only don't pull up volume too much. I think now my computer speakers worth 3 time less played better than this monitors. And louder, and i could manage with bass and treble. Mackie is good for hearing what irecorded but i don't feel no pleasure playing through them, play on low volume... i want to rock! :D What i want is to find solution, figure out i could buy pa speaker, but i want 2 speakers not one and be able to put them on my desk. Almost every PA is big and expensive and comes with one speaker. Now i think of buying two hifi used columns with amp (cheaper than new pa speaker) then i can manage bass treble and be able to not just record but to play with higher volume and pleasure. On what do you play with helix ? Cmon maybe somebody give me some idea Regards
