First thing's first, I'm a MIDIot, zero midi experience. I've watched some vids but for the life of me none are helping me successfully control the pedal's tempo with the Helix tap tempo, and maybe it's something specific to do with the Boss SL-2 pedal, although I'm sure it's me. I have the MIDI plug running out the Helix into the pedal. I've set the receive channel per the manual. Nothing. Tried through Native. Still nothing. I need a step-by-step, a video would be great if anyone has both, to walk me through it. Appreciate y'allz help.

In reading the amp model gallery, the Voltage Queen is based off the Victoria Electro King which has a tremolo control that, when set to the extreme, sounds like the amp is turning on/off - so, essentially like a kill switch? But Line 6 opted to go with two drive controls instead. Clarifying there is absolutely no tremolo control on the Voltage Queen. Shame. A kill switch type tremolo effect is exactly what I'm looking for and I'm not having success with any of the current effects on the Helix. Anyone have any recs? I have tried presets with momentary kill switches but I'm not trying to tap that effect out like a double kick pedal for 3-5 mins, lol.
