I want to stream live to fb. This past week I ran 4 mono paths. Guitar, mic, track, click. All went to fb except click. All went to my headphone mix. P1 Guitar in - multi out P2 Track R1 in - multi out P3 Min in - multi out P4 Click R2 in 1/4 out I am wanting to run stereo guitar and track. Plus still have mic and click, with click still coming to only my headphobe mix.

Are you any good with routing to use the Helix as an interface for running tracks?
-
So, a couple of things. 1. rd2rk, I was born in Denver. I'll be in Larkspur in July, wold love to shake your hand. 2. Updated to 2.91 yesterday before I sent you the preset. 3. Snaps are set to Discard. What's weird is I just reprogrammed them and they seem to be working. Ya got me.
-
I have programmed on both the unit itself and HX Edit. What did you do to the preset?
-
I don't get it. Yours works great. I've tried it several times. It works great. I don't know what I'm doing wrong.

I bet I didn't save it. Try this one. One thing I noticed on your preset, your notes are different per snapshot. I don't know if that's a contributing factor or not. Command Central.hlx

Ok, so here is what i this weekend. I actually ran the tracks from an app called PRIME. It gives you up to 8 channels to run your audio out of. Meaning, if you have an audio interface, It will allow you to use at most 8 outputs. You can run them as mono or stereo, or a combination of the 2. If you use the headphone out, it can only use 2 outs, the left and the right, track on one, click on the other. I ran headphone out of the mac into the Helix. Streamed to fb live, everything worked great. I really wanted to run my tracks as stereo, and my guitar for that matter, but that's for another time. I essentially need 3 channels. 2 for stereo track, and 1 for click. i tried running out of the back of my interface. Channel 1-2 as track Helix path return 1-2, channel 3 as click, helix path return 3. I needed to set my pc output to Interface. When I did, I had no sound. If I switched the output to Helix audio, I only got the track. No click. The only time I could get the click as well is if I set the click out to channel 1 or 2. I then set I then tried to use the Helix as the output. The initial sound for the tracks is now coming through the usb from the pc to the helix. Once again, I have the playback app set as Track 1-2 for stereo, click out 3. I set up the helix for track Input 3/4, output multi, and click input 5/6, output 1/4. What was weird was, on the output block for 3/4, when I turned the volume up and down, it controlled everything, track and click. When I went to path 4, the click, input 5/6, I could not turn the click up or down. I tried every input combination you could imagine, I had no volume control. I then went to try a fb live vid. The only thing that was coming through was the click. No track. I don't know if I need to start over, but again, I would like to achieve stereo track, mono click, have all come through my personal monitor, and have track only go to the audience. I'm kinda stumped here. I appreciate your help. Sorry if I'm repeating myself and/or beating a dead horse here.

So i have attached the command center preset. I tried once again programming this before I sent it to you. I programmed the buttons on HX Edit and on the unit itself. I tried programming the buttons per snapshot. I also tried programming just on snapshot 1, then copying to snaps2-4. All trials ended in the same result. My layout should go as follows. All buttons should be set to: COMMAND: Note MIDI CH: 1 NOTE: C#, C#3, D3, D#3 VELOCITY: 100 NOTE OFF: Momentary I will say this, it would be cool if the lights could be bright, then dim after I use them once. I want to trigger a DAW. The thinking is, each button is a song or set of songs. I would like to look at the Helix, and push the next button that is lit up. If the light is off, I know not to press that one and accidentally start a song tan gain, that we have already played. Thank you for your help. Command Central.hlx

Ok guys, something is definitely wrong with command center. I have a preset with 4 snapshots. Each snapshot has buttons 8, 9, 10, 11, set to Note, Channel 1, respective note, Vel 100, Moment. I have set these switches the same per snapshot. I set them up within a Snapshot, and then save. Go to the next Snapshot, set, and save...repeat 2 more times. Without even using the buttons, if I switch to a different Snapshot and back, ALL buttons revert back to note C3. I have read of users having this issue as far back as 6.1. Am I missing something here? Is it a bug? Do i have a bad unit? Do I need to open a support ticket?

So, a couple of questions. 1. There may be better ways to do this... Such as? I would be very interested in hearing about that. 2. I would very much like to run my loop stereo, and possibly my guitar as well, but all that is a little more for my knowledge of the routing options. I'm on a mac btw. Thank you for your help.

I guess I should have stated this. I am connecting to a pc using the usb. So when I connect to fb live, i close Helix as my audio source. So i believe the first 3 paths would need to go out of the usb to the pc, than all 4 paths come through the headphone mix. I apologize for not stating that earlier.

I want to use the Helix as an interface for fb live. Here's my setup: Guitar Mic Backing tracks off an iPad. Track are stereo with left being a Click track, and right the Loop (other instruments). Headphone out will be used as my in ear monitor mix. Path 1 is guitar. I have the Input set as guitar and Output set as multi. This works fine. Path 2 is mic. Input set as mic, Output set as multi. This works fine. I have a 1/8 stereo to 2 1/4 mono coming out of my iPad and gong into Return 1 and 2. Path 3 is Loop. Input set as Return 1, Output set to multi. This works fine. Path 4 is Click. Input set as Return 2. this is the only path not working for me. Not matter how I set the Output, it always come through with all other paths. I want this path to only come through the headphones. Also, is there a way to adjust the mix in my headphones differently than what comes through to the audience. I find that after I mix guitar, mic, and loop, for the listeners, I find that the mix is not as balanced in my headphones. Thank you.

I am wanting to trigger Ableton with the Helix. Just little background... Our band uses Ableton in arrangement view. This allows us to run songs back to back seamlessly. At the beginning of each "set" of songs, we place a marker. With other midi controllers, we would have one foot switch set up to do 2 things at once. 1, locate the marker for the next set of songs and, 2, trigger playback. We could do this with one press of one fs. To do this, it requires mapping a midi note to the play button and each locator. I can map a note to the actual fs that I want to use, but for some reason, when I try to use instant commands, there is no "note" option available. So, is there a way for me to be able to accomplish locating a marker, and triggering playback with one fs press?

I have an echo as one of my effects. I want to control the feedback with my exp pedal. I set the minimum to 0% toe up, the max at let's say 75% toe down. When I had the toe up, or 0%, there is still one echo that happens. If I have minimum set at 0, shouldn't it sound like I have no delay pedal/effect at all?

Hey guys. I have assigned fs 1-4 to control Ableton LIVE. FS1 UP, FS2 DOWN, FS3 PLAY, FS4 STOP. I go to the POD Edit Software, and assigning the Looper switch to midi is an option. So, i program it to send the note I want it to send. i go to Ableton, and midi map the switches. I can send the note using the looper switch every time I hit the looper switch. However, the other switches do not send the messages they are supposed to if the red ring is lit around the looper switch. If the ring is clear, not lit, the other switches send the messages as they are supposed to. Am i missing something? Thanks, Chris
