LOL, I guess mentioning the long (I would say a second or maybe even two!) volume swell you get when you change patches that have the compression block activated will stir up whole new hornet's nest. I have been dealing with latency since the 90s and I don't think that I could play without it anymore. I guess I should add that the long volume swell I get is when I'm switching patches with midi and also using midi to switch channels on my Engl E570 preamp. Took me a little bit to figure out the problem by process of elimination. Any chance Line6 has heard about this issue yet? I just love the compression with distortion effect on the Helix as well as many others (The Wah is awesome!) and for now I'm just dedicating one distortion patch with the compression block bypassed whenever I need to go from clean / crunch to my lead distortions. It would be really cool if I could do this with the compression on. Probably not enough complaints for Line 6 to spend a bunch of time addressing this issue on the next firmware update huh? Any hoo, just thought I would mention it. I friggin' absolutely love the Helix by the way.
