  1. I have used a Digitech 2101 rack mount guitar processor since 1994 along with a couple of other makes & have had frustrating experiences using this gear live. The biggest problem was always setting the output level to match the other patches being used. In the Digitech it was a 4 button press plus a knob adjusting the level & yet another button press to save the updated output level. On the Eleven Rack there was a different rather convoluted method used to update the output level but it seemed to get the job done. I would like to offer a suggestion to Line 6 & although I personally use a rack mount Helix I think this could also be employed for the floorboard model with a slight modification if required. My suggestion is to create a "LIVE MODE" whereby the #6 knob could be used as a dedicated output level for the current patch. This would allow the user to set the patch output and then press the #6 knob to save the output level with or without any confirmation to speed up & simplify the process. If it was to be used on the floorboard a large rubber ring could be included & placed tightly over the #6 knob. This would also raise it slightly over the #5 knob & in this way the user could easily rotate the #6 knob with their foot. To save the level adjustment the user could simply press the #6 knob & mission accomplished. This might sound a bit too far fetched but I think this is something that could be tried. Even if the rubber ring is ignored it still provides the floor board user a sensible way of updating the patch with very little hassle. If I can assign the #6 knob to this function I think it would help a lot with this frustrating issue.
