  1. I've sent an email to the UK service centre, but I think that this will mean that it is beyond help (I suspect that the examination fee will be more than the PodXT is worth, especially when shipping is taken into account). I've not had much luck with 'new' electronics recently — nothing seems serviceable any more (and I have 30+ years experience with electronics, and nearly 20 with embedded software)… :( Thanks for the replies though…
  2. Thanks for the reply :) Unfortunately, even in 'safe mode', Line6 Monkey (v1.73) shows the flash memory in an unknown state. Because of this, the 'update selection' button is greyed out also. If I connect over MIDI, I am able to update the flash, but so far no change in the display/behaviour… which makes me think that the flash isn't actually being updated! My MIDI interface shows messages being sent from the computer to the PodXT, but nothing on the return channel (I would kind of expect some kind of acknowledgement from the Pod, but that might not be the way the reprogramming works!)
  3. So, I have this POD XT with a blank (orange) screen — apparently there was a computer crash mid-way through a firmware update — could I take a look at it? Line 6 Monkey sees the device (ESN looks Ok, and it's correctly detected as a POD XT) however the 'Flash Memory' section has a ? next to it, and 'current version' is '-'. Is it only fit for the trash, or might there be a way of fixing it? Thanks, john..
