  1. OK, successfully dismantled it (the hardest part was taking the big silver knob off!). No obvious loose connections but I pressed all the ribbon connectors firmly into place, blew out a little dust, removed a couple of strands of glue, and...it seems to be working!
  2. Thanks! I figured that would be my next step. I tried reinstalling the firmware but it won't recognize there's an SD card in the slot. Hopefully it's a loose connection rather than a fried circuit board. I see instructions for dismantling a Spider Jam on Joe's Jam Blog (via wayback machine) but the pictures aren't archived - I'm going to give that a go.
  3. Hi, I get this error when I start up my amp. I've tried a factory reset but it makes no difference. Is there any point my trying to do a firmware update or does this error message indicate that the internal RAM is zapped and I'd be wasting my time? Has anyone replaced the main circuit board in a Spider Jam themselves? Is it a particularly fiddly procedure?
