Any ideas? Really want to avoid buying a new one. I love this thing...

Hello, I have had my M13 for about 5 years now and all the sudden I turned it on the other day and the screens are blank. They still light up with color, but no text. I changed the contrast, but it just goes in and out with still no text. I just updated the firmware and nothing changed. I cannot do a factory reset because I do not have any way to navigate through the menu. Also the effects still work fine. Any ideas? Thank you
