Line 6 Helix...I use Marshall Anniversary amp 3 channel with Marshall 4x12 flat cab. Want to get Tremonti sound...do I use amp overdrive...low med high switches all with gain available...on crunch channel... or do I rely on Helix for amp and amp clean channel...or should it be a preamp on Helix as already have Marshal power amp. At moment using Brit amp and Scream distortion but also half way gain on overdrive...middle crunch setting on Marshall amp. Most patches have amp included...need some guidance on how to set tone...my lead...using lead channel on Marshall amp feels like needs more response/sustain for tap playing but adding gain gives feedback. All thoughts welcome...love valve amp but need some settings to get close to Tremonti rythym and lead sounds...want to plug helix inti my cab and amp and get the right sound...spent ages but admit rubbish at putting sounds together...not sure how download patches would sound going thru my set up...appreciate your help.
