  1. Wow, thanks for sharing your experience. I have upvoted both ideas. Not sure if Line 6 will be working on them as these ideas were submitted years ago.. Let's unfold the full potential of a Variax!
  2. Thanks amsdenj for your valuable input and your request to Line 6. I benefited from many of your postings / knowledge-sharing. Yes i feel that the usability of a Variax can be more ... not only limited to the current guitar modelling bodies. (i also wonder why a nylon guitar model is not provided in WB HD). I really hope that Line 6 will respond to such requests in the near future.
  3. I would like to know if anyone tried Variax Standard (Acoustic model) with Fishman Aura Spectrum or Zoom A3? Is either one of these setups work well together? Thanks!
  4. Got my Variax Standard yesterday. Variax models are quiet but I experienced the magnetic pick up noise, with or without the battery installed. I will have to move around within my music room to find a 'sweet spot' with lesser noise. Later I discovered the culprit of this noise was the fluorescent bulbs of my room. The magnetic pick ups are quiet when i play without switching on those fluorescent bulbs. I will be replacing them with LED bulbs and see if it helps. Ceiling fan contributes very minor noise in my case. You will have to experience yourself to first switch on all electrical / electronics appliances in your room (or wherever you play your guitar), switch off 1 appliance at a time until you found the culprit. Good luck!
