  1. Thanks for this suggestion, it's very interesting as it does have an influence on the problem, without solving it totally. But it's better, no doubt!
  2. Hi all, I have just experienced a new ( for me) way to use my helix. It's really a great piece of gear, but my old and beloved tube amps were missing me. So, I tried this chain: gtr into tube amp, speaker output of the amp into load box, load output into return of send/return1 of the helix, then a couple of blocks such as IR, reverb, etc. The result is amazing. Then, in order to be able to use some fx before amp, I tried to plug the guitar into helix first, then send the signal to tube amp input via a send/return output of helix, back to Helix via return of the same send/return, and all I get is squealing... Any idea about what I'm doing wrong ??? Tried with different amps and got the same problem... :(
  3. I just can't find this information, you can calibrate your notes + or - something... Is it in cents of semitone?
  4. As I'm from the previous century, with tube amps, I just ask!
  5. Might be a stupid question, but anyway... As a gigging musician, I like to prevent some kinds of awkward situations, such as bad cables, dead batteries, all of us know what I mean, and a blown fuse is among the list. So, I try to carry some spare fuses with me. Hence my questions: Is there a fuse in the Helix? Why no external access? Is the waranty lost if I open my unit to check? :)
  6. Okay, I tried to do that with the low and high pass filter block, which is appropriate for this purpose IMO. The high pass goes from low to high freq when you go from heel to toe, but I can't at the same time get the low pass going from maximum cut to zero cut heel to toe. Does it makes sence? Is it possible to do that? Ah, and thanks for your reply!
  7. Hi all, I'm a happy new helix owner, kind of newbe here, so please excuse me if this question has been asked and answered elsewhere! I play in a top 50 cover band, and I would like to emulate a tone sweep fx with the built in expression pedal. For some patches, I want my tone both with high and low cut with the exp pedal on the heel, and a full range tone (kind of bypassed filter) toe. Think about an old "low fi" telephone tone, something like that, those fx are frequently used in modern music. I've found the way to get either high cut or low cut, but not both at the same time with a simple sweep... Any tip or idea welcome! :)
