So far I'm noticing it from the regular Tape Delay and the AC Flanger. I've just bought the thing new, have a gig next weekend and wondering am I missing a setting? When I say volume drop i'd say about a 20-25% drop when that effect is kicked in from when it's kicked off. I've tried putting them in different banks with the same issue, so it appears it's the model and not the bank. I'm using in the the loop of both an Blackstar Club 40 and club 100 half stack. Same issue. Am I missing something?

Just an update, thank you that worked. Other than the wah sticking on which threw me for a loop. Once I figured that out, I was good. I do think the volume dropped slightly, so next week, I'll try to boost the loop slighly more, or try an EQ, but 99% there.

I could if I didn't want to use the WAH and the OD's in front of the amp. Since I'm trying to reduce space on my board, if I add the Pod HD- I want to remove the Wah and a few other pedals.

I'm trying to use this unit for effects only through a tube amp.. Using the 4 cable method, it's changing the sound of the amp, to the point the amp sounds dead and less volume. Is there a certain way to set the HD 500 up to be more transparent? I'm not using amp or cab modeling. I only want to use the Wah/ boost in the front, and the Delay, Phase/Flange/Chorus in the loop. There has to be a way to make this sound better- what am I missing? Is anyone successfully using it in this way? I'm no genius with it obviously.

If they are smart they'll offer it as an add on to every guitar they make and expand their line like the old days. I would love an Explorer style floyded variax. Or a V. Talk about fun!

Mine will show green lights on the battery compartment with it charged. Please do let me know. I'm debating if I send it into Line 6 at $90/hour or take it to this guy. It makes me nervous that he's never worked on one.

Thanks. It's two years old, I had it about 6 months, then stored it at my parents house for about the first year of my divorce. I just recently picked it up from there, it's basically new, but essentially out of warranty. I've got my fingers crossed for a simple solution that's for sure.

I do have a ticket open FWIW. Was rehearsing with the variax, I hit a G chord and it just went dead - it did switch to the mags though. So thinking maybe the battery is dead, I charged it overnight. Next day, nothing. Grab my VDI cable and go into my hd 500, nothing. Connect it to the dongle and go to monkey. It's recognized. Cool, I'll try to reflash it. Get all the way through and at the end - it stops recognizing it. The service center in IL says they've never worked on one, but to bring it in. It's about an hour away and the guy only works three to four days per week. Ugh. So - the guy at the service center expects it's the motherboard. He estimated $2-$300 to fix it, but again, he's never worked on one. Anyone have one die out on them like this? What did it cost to repair it. I have to give my divorce attorney $10K next week, and really need this thing to gig withd. to say I'm completely tapped out is an understatement. The fact it's been handled with kid gloves, haven't even used it on a gig yet, and with what our setlist now consists of- I'm going to need it. Any home remidy ideas that maybe I'm missing? The thing does not light up at all except for the lights on the battery charge.
