  1. Hi all, I just bought a Pod HD500X and I spent most of the afternoon configuring my first patch. I have it set to "foot switch" mode so I can run the board through my tube amp via the "4 cable method". It's a powerful unit and it greatly expanded what I am able to do. I do have one question about running the board in foot switch mode. Am I able to modify the bank cycling foot switches? I plan on creating a couple of patches, but I don't want to run in "ABCD" so I can retain better control over the signal chain for each patch as I'm running some of the effects through an effects loop. Are you limited to cycling through presets consecutively (while in foot switch mode) using the tiny preset selector knob under the save button? It would be nice to have the option to configure the bank switches so I can opt to go through my presets consecutively with flip of those switches efficiently while in foot switch mode without the need to use the small knob to cycle through everything. Thanks!
  2. Thanks for the insights. I settled on a Pod HD500x and just finished my first patch for it. been happy with it so far!
  3. Hi all, Can you use the Line 6 Helix multi-effects board easily with a tube amp? I'd like to consider using it with no amp modeling and only use the effects to adjust the clean tone from the amp. Also, can the expression pedal be configured to control the master volume of your signal similar to a standalone volume pedal (e.g. Ernie Ball), even if the amp modeling is turned off? The goal would be to use the Helix's effects in lieu of a massive pedal board and use the built in volume pedal for volume control and swells. Thanks for the feedback! Best, WyattBurp86
