Hi,
I have an electro harp, and I would like to use distortion on it. I have tried first with various iOs modelling software and a Line6 Sonic Port, some effects sound good as soon as high and low notes are not played together (on a harp you basically play guitar notes with the right hand and bass notes with the left hand). Amp distortion when bass and treble notes are mixed together just sounds awful (and harps have a huge sustain which doesn't help).
The harp connector has a stereo mode (with a switch) which separates high and low strings on two separate channels. This seems ideal for using two different paths for FX and amps.
With a splitter instrument cable (stereo jack on the instrument, two mono jacks on the other side) it is possible to use two physical amps and effect chains, but this will be expensive and not very practical...
So I am looking for an effect board which has two physical instrument inputs (or even better, a stereo input) and is able to process with a dual path setting. Line input is not an option as the instrument signal is way too low. For instance, on the Sonic Port, there is a stereo input, but it's line in levels only, and the instrument input is mono.
Is there either a Pedal Board, (HD POD?), an amp (Amplifis?) or an iPad interface which would allow me to do this?
Thanks!
