  1. Almost forgot — amazing Norwegian guitarist Morten Faerestrand transcribed part of the solo (and it totally doesn't matter that he's not matching LC's sound!). He rips an incredibly difficult passage almost perfectly here, starting around 0:40. Enjoy. https://youtu.be/5Kk5pEQuD2w
  2. May have improved this after setting up a loop so I could A / B settings. I've simplified it and gotten a bit closer to that bright, ringing, double-tracked sound. Again, it's very subtle — not perfect, but a decent approximation. Crank up your tube amp to push it a little, add a bit of reverb, and go.
  3. If anyone's interested I think I've gotten close to LC's ringing, double-tracked sound on Room 335 - see attached JPG. The final tweak was adding just a bit of Tube Drive; this may have supplied the extra mid boost that got it close. This tone is clean and subtle, sounds real nice...just not a full 100% of the 'sonic sparkle' on the original release. 335 on neck pickup, adjust mids/highs/sustain to suit your taste. Enjoy... P.S. Totally new to the M13...just feeling my way...
  4. Okay, if anyone is interested I found an online Presets list that is somewhere in the neighborhood of what I have been looking for. It's called "Parirami's M13 Settings Depot". I don't know anything about it; it seems to be old and may not have been updated in years... but I am going to reach out to the dude. And if the scenes/settings are useful, then... cool B) and kudos to Pari Rami. https://sites.google.com/site/parirami/home BTW, my M13 has received its sweet Audio Upgrade from Jack/JHV3 and is on its way back to me. Stoked! - Charles
  5. Thanks ADBrown, interesting share. I also found good info in that same vein in the M13 Advanced Guide. Still looking for useful presets to use as starting points in shaping my tone. Anyone know if a resource like this exists ~ maybe someone collected players' favorite presets for achieving specific kinds of tones? Thanks in advance! P.S. There's one I omitted from my original list: Mike Stern's wah tone on Last One Down from the CD These Times
  6. Hi, I'm guessing this has been asked - I'm new to Line 6. I have a new M13 (it's getting a Jack Vaughn audio upgrade :) ) and I'm wondering if there is a "master list" of presets users have shared over the years? I'm running a vintage ES335 through a Bad Cat combo amp and looking for (or will create myself) sounds that include: - Larry Carlton (ringing, double-tracked tone on the 1978 cut 'Room 335') update: I've managed to get pretty close to this; if anyone wants the settings, hit me up! - Pat Metheny - Jerry Garcia / John Mayer's 'Garcia' - Clapton auto-wah tone on Bad Love - Scholz - Satriani Any help on where to find preset lists shared online is greatly appreciated! (starting/reference points for above tones welcome also) Thanks Charles
