This was it! The previous owner had the output setting to be ran through a combo amp and I'm using it directly! SOLVED! Thanks guys! :)

Thanks for the direction guys, I hadn't checked those settings. I'll get on that as soon as I can and report back

I've been using the POD HD PRO X for about 3 months now. I've build tons of patches that I LOVE. Tones are PERFECT! Today I bought a POD HD500 and was able to transfer my tones from one to the other pretty effortlessly. However the sound of all patches with high gain amps now sound very fuzzy and I cant seem to tone the awful fuzzy overdrive tones down without killing the entire sound completely. I'm not understanding how the exact patches could sound so different from one processor to another? Am I overlooking something? Shouldn't they sound almost identical? Help! Before I sell this damn thing.
