I recently got a firehawk fx and i am generally happy with it, especially with the iOS editor. However there is a slight problem that i would like someone try to reproduce (so that i know i am not imagining things). I was trying to recreate Brian May's tone for a Queen cover project so I went with AC30 fawn with full gain and a Boost+EQ with full gain in front of it. The result is actually good.
However i found out that if the combined gain settings of the booster and the amp are too high there are weird fluctuations on the output volume and even very short dropouts. These seem to be especially audible in some cases, notably when playing long high notes (which is a big deal when playing queen). I also tried using some overdrive models as a booster and got the same behavior,
Do others have this same behavior?
