I can now confirm that replacement of the SMD LED labelled 'D1' has resolved my 'no volume control" symptom. The part used was sourced through a local repair agent via Line6/Yamaha Australia. Go well.

"Having same issue" says to me your pedal has lights under the buttons, but the volume/wah pedal does not work. If so, remove most of the screws located on the underside of the FBV-3. Not all screws need to be removed, but most do. Trial and error. Once all required screws are removed the top panel will lift off the bottom half. Read the posts above as good information contained within. Arm yourself with a torch to see if you can get the opto receiver to react to changing light levels. If so, D1 SMD LED is likely your issue. This is a great post and described the issue with my FBV-# (circa 2017) perfectly. As far as a fix is concerned, I am still working it through (trying to find replacement part) but certainly I have verifed the issue is LED 'D1'. Thanks AfterGlow-GTB

I have the Spider V 240 which I believe is very similar if not the same as the V120. My thoughts on this is that there are a few free/spare/blak User Preset locations where desired sounds/presets can be stored for a performance. This could include presets built from scratch or existing Line 6 presets which are saved into a bank for quick easy access within a song or set. But there are only a few blank presets for this (Bank 32 a,b,c,d) which I find limiting. I have a feeling the cloud service may allow easy access to presets that are overwritten, and thus original presets can be restored in the future if they are overwritten with user presets.
