Thank you for your reply Hurghanico, unfortunately I found the problem My Dr. Z is broken :( Now the question is 'Could the Pod HD have done this running it though the FX loop'? I have have the POD plugged into my JVM now, let's hope that can can get along with the new kid.

I just bought the HD500X last week and was having a lot of fun with it. This morning I got up to start recording and it was making this loud, screeching sound, I have a clip of the culprit here: https://www.dropbox.com/s/ysadwsit6get1k2/line6%20sound.wav?dl=0 I have the unit plugged directly into the return of a Maz 18 and the USB going to my laptop (windows 10) The combo sounds amazing but I fear for my amp. I tried a few different patches (some mine, some stock) and had the same results. I also tried a different power supply and disconnecting from the computer, same results. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
