You can assign the scribble strips to anything you want. I run 4cm and my effects loop block for my amp, my effects loop for my outboard effects and whammy block are unseen. I have the whammy set to auto-engage so no need to take up a scribble strip and switch for it. I also think the HX sounds better in the loop than my Helix Floor did.
