Hey folks,
I'm hoping someone has the answer to my issues. As the title says - I'm having a few issues with my PC detecting my Helix Rack.
Let me break it down:
My Helix Rack has sadly been neglected for the past year or so. With that in mind, I've sadly neglected updating it to the point it's sat on Firmware 2.21.0 and I had the original Helix software installed (2.20?). With a new Tool album on horizon, I thought I'd bust the Helix out and put some tones together.
So, I go to update the helix...download the latest Line 6 Updater as prompted. Download the Helix Edit software. Shut it down, connect my Helix, boot up the updater. No Helix Rack.
"Interesting." I ponder. Try switching USB ports. Same result.
Which then got me thinking. I wondered if my Helix was on too low a firmware to update to 2.80 as I'd read about the Helix Core things coming with the new software. So, on that trail of thought - I uninstalled all the Helix software, pulled out the original USB, installed the software from there. Followed the procedures once again. and....nada. Still no Helix Rack.
Needless to say, I'm a little stumped right now. One thing I have noticed on my device manager is that the Helix Rack under 'sound, video, controllers' has a orange exclamation point over it. Upon checking out the driver area I have a message saying "
"Windows cannot load the device driver for this hardware. The driver may be corrupted or missing. (Code 39)
{Bad Image}
%hs is either not designed to run on Windows or it contains an error. Try installing the program again using the original installation media or contact your system administrator or the software vendor for support. Error status 0x"
Which to me, sounds like a driver issue - yet I'm receiving this message on every single driver that I've downloaded and redownloaded.
Any thoughts from resident tech gurus on what I can try next?
