  1. Thank you so much for your replies. As soon as I can test these things I will - particularly the USB 3.0 issue. I know it shouldn't matter, but though I tried many different ports, I did *not* try any 2.0 ports! Anyway, if that doesn't do it, I have plenty of troubleshooting steps to go through. Thanks again!

Hi, I've had this problem for quite a while now - not sure if it's an issue with the latest Windows update somehow messing it up, but the HD500X program will load, and receive patches from my unit, but then soon after if I try to change anything with the patches, it becomes unusable and eventually just freezes. At most I can edit a couple pedals and then it's just unresponsive. I used to have an HD500 and got an HD500X about a year ago and honestly it's been such a headache, and after literally losing all of my patches just a few months back because of a freeze, now I'm just at a loss for this product, even if it's just the editing software. Anyway, has anyone else had this issue? Possible solutions? I've updated firmware, updated all Line 6 applications, re-installed all Line 6 applications, updated Windows, changed USB ports...I'm not sure what to do next.
