  1. Hi, I had the same black screen issue and took the machine into an electronic shop. They said there was a bad connection to the display which was causing issues. It was fixed for quite cheap.
  2. I have the exact same problem. I also can't seem to update the firmware either (having same issues as this guy http://line6.com/support/topic/8314-m9-firmware-update-what-is-required)...not sure if this is midi problem or because the m9 is bricked... I'll keep trying, and try the rubber feet thing soon. I'm extremely disappointed, as have literally played with this twice before this happened and was really loving it. Note that I think Line 6 are aware of this issue as this is on the first page for support (http://line6.com/support/tickets/): "Please contact a service center near you if your hardware exhibits one or more of these symptoms: ... No display or black boxes in display" ... but no information on any fix in the forums. I'm determined to fix this and report back if I have any progress.
