Hello! Is it necessary/recommended to disable the amp models from the pod when using the 4cm? Or can I mix and match? Greetings

Hey! I am using an acoustic patch where actually the amp sim is disabled.....when I now go straight into my daw I can’t really control the gain....it’s way to loud! why? The only way where it’s a little quieter is the volume knob on the guitar but I don’t think that is a proper solution! Can anyone help?
