Thanks Schmalle, Analogue bypass works just great, in fact I can play as the unit is booting, it cuts out right after the splash screen. No noise that I can hear. DSP bypass is mute. Blank preset is similarly mute. No input light at all. Using a return as the input or a send as the output doesn't help either.

Hello everyone, I'm a bass player who has been a longtime user of the Helix rack and latterly the HX Stomp (had mine about a year). Unfortunately I got to band practice yesterday and there was simply no sound at all from the unit. I had been playing it that morning and it wa working just fine (no, I didn't change any settings!) but now I'm back at home and still nothing. I'm trying to troubleshoot here but the more I rule things out the more I worry it might be hardware failiure... Can anyone suggest something that may help me to fix this please? Or at least work out what's wrong with it? Are there some steps I haven't tried? Some data points so far: Setup/wiring definitely works, not only have I been through everything but I get perfect sound with the unit turned off and when bypassed. I have since pulled the unit from my board anyway. Internal tone generators etc will light the output light but not actually create any sound. I have disabled and reenabled all of the volumes. (eg turning the input to USB and back) I have tried a factory reset. I have gone back to two different backups now using HX Edit. I have never used the volume control, it's set to only control the headphones anyway but I have checked that in the settings. No sound from the headphones output, the send or the stereo right output either.

I've got two of the same amps (in Barefaced FR800s). How have you found the Helix, is it capable of driving the amps to clipping? How do you have the internal gain in HFA set? I'm moving from a Kemper, and my gut feeling is that the Kemper has way more output than the Helix...
