Hi all. I apologize in advance if this has already been answered or discussed (I did not see it when searching).
I cannot seem to get the 4CM to work on my new HX FX unit. Admittedly I am a newb in both using an effects loop as well as attempting the 4CM.
That said - I feel confident I have the cables hooked up correctly, and am sending correctly. When I turn everything on however, it seems everything is running through the loop on the amp - it does not matter if I have anything plugged into the front of the amp. The effects I am trying to send to the front still sound when the front of the amp is unplugged - and they are very present in the loop.
My setup - I've split the signal, with the effects I want in the front on the "second" or "bottom" line in the display and have the "Send 1" box on that same line. The effects I want in the amp's loop are on the top line with no "send" box included.
My cables are:
#1 Guitar into the HX input
#2 Send 1 on the HX to the front of the amp
#3 Main Output from the HX to the amp's FX return
#4 Amp's FX send to Return 1 on the HX unit
The "Send" option is lit/selected when looking at my effects. Any ideas what could be going on? I'd think if nothing else the effects I'm sending to the front of the amp shouldn't be audible when I unplug that input in the front of the amp?
