  1. thanks, but no luck there either. i guess i'll have to buy a mic so i can run the mic and stomp through scarlett and into the computer from there
  2. thanks! yes, after trying that i can hear the audio from the mic in the output, but not the guitar from the hx. hmmm. curiously, i can record a video with quicktime and that captures audio from both sources, but when i try to use the aggregate devices with zoom or ableton, i only get the mic audio.
  3. the closest i have to a DAW is ableton live lite and it behaves similarly: i can only get the mic audio from the aggregate device, not the mic and hx stomp. i'm not sure i follow you on the `line in` on the computer not working -- do you mean the audio input of the computer? that works fine by itself, just not combined with the hx in an aggregate device. but thanks!
  4. Hi, I'm trying to use my hx stomp for audio during zoom lessons and failing miserably. I would like to use my computer's mic (well the mic on my headphones) for my voice, and have the guitar go through the helix. I setup an aggregate device on os x, using the system audio, system mic, and hx stomp. In system preferences -> sound, if i set the new aggregate device to the input, I can see in the preview that both the HX and mic are sending strong signals. so far so good. however, once i set zoom to the aggregate device, only the mic is heard. I downloaded a program called audio monitor, and that also does not get sound from the hx, only the mic, when the aggregate device is used. Same in ableton lite: use the aggregate device, but only sound from the mic is heard. Am i misunderstanding how aggregate devices work? Can the system input not be combined with a USB input like this? I'd prefer not to have to buy a microphone, but that might be unavoidable. I tried running the stomp into a scarlett and then made the aggregate device use the scarlett with the computer mic, but that also does not combine the two input sources correctly. cheers!
