  1. It's cool, my friend actually just bought it 2 months ago, but didn't like it and turned around and bought a kemper. Then gave the pod to me for free so I cant complain too much....He bought it from musicians friend so I suspect their warranty is 30 days? It seems that line 6 has a 90 day warranty at least from what I am reading. Not sure....will just have to continue trying to communicate with support and see what can be done.
  2. Well man, I don't get it. I did all the resetting and reflashing, and not only is the problem still present, but now the di signal is audible in the main amp channel rather than the second amp channel whenever I drag the main amp up to create a dual amp setup. It's like its a sick joke....I give up at this point. Maybe if support will ever get back to me they can help me, or maybe there is something wrong with this unit. Any ways, thanks for the help either way. Not sure what else to do now.
  3. Thanks so much for the info, I really appreciate it. Will let you guys know how it goes when I try this later on.
  4. I typically use headphones when I'm just playing around, but I also use the 1/4" outs to record to my daw, or if I just don't feel like wearing headphones and want to hear the sound through my monitors. I have a really good feeling about doing the reset, so fingers crossed lol. Honestly, if that doesn't work then I have no idea what to do from there. I'll try it later this evening and let you guys know how it works. Thanks for the responses. This has been driving me crazy and working with support is pretty slow going.
  5. Awesome thank you! I will try this later today. How might I go about doing that? My firmware is up to date according to the line 6 monkey software. Do I need to go in there and re update it? I have no idea how to do the global reset and/or pedal calibration. Would you mind explaining how to do all of this, or perhaps point me to a site that has instructions?
  6. I'm not currently using the s/pdif out as my interface does not have an input for that. However, I just had it set to that as the way I understand it is that I can route the di to that output and be able to capture my di to a separate track in my daw when recording. I thought maybe making sure it was set to "dry" that it would take it out of the other ouputs and fix my problem. So to answer your question, yes the problem persists when I use the standard 1/4" outs as well as when I use usb and set the pod to be my interface. Same problem there as well. So, when turn the second amp off, yes, the di signal remains in the second channel. However, when I turn it back on, the amp sound and the DI sound now play at the same time. Changing the volume in the mixer only turns down that amp and leaves the DI untouched. So for now, I only run a single amp setup in order to not hear my DI coming through, which is annoying as it does sound great, but I know I will have even more options if I were able to blend 2 amps.
  7. I'm running my guitar into the pod and then literally any preset I use or make from scratch as well as anything I download from customtone that happens to use a dual amp setup is causing this issue where I here the DI sound along with the amp sound. For my global settings I have input 1 set to guitar and input 2 set to "same". S/pdif out is set to "dry". That's it, I can't find a single other setting on this thing that could possibly have anything to do with how the DI is routed or whether or not it should be audible when playing through the amp sims. Someone mentioned the amp bypass volume but I've never seen that setting anywhere in the million times I've gone through all the settings trying to figure this out. I also use the edit software to make things easier and there is nothing that fixes this issue.
  8. My goal is to blend two amps together, but whether or not I do that or just switch between them, the DI sound is there no matter what so long as I have the first amp dragged up to the top to enable 2 signals. Where is the amp bypass level? Is that not the volume setting in the mixer that follows the amps in the chain? I have been through every single option available on this thing as well as using the edit software and I cannot get rid of the di sound. Like I said, the only thing that works is turning the volume of the second amp channel all the way down to "mute". This is obviously pointless and therefore limits me to only being able to run a single amp setup.
  9. Hey everyone, just got a HD500x and loving it. When I create a new patch and add fx and an amp, everything sounds fine. However, the second I drag the amp up to create a second channel for dual amps, I get the DI signal from the guitar in the second channel. Even when I add the second amp to that channel, I still get the DI mixed with the amp sound and as you can imagine, it sounds terrible. The only thing I can do is either turn that channel all the way down, or just not enable the dual amp feature at all. Either way, dual amps are useless to me as a result. I also notice that when I pan the second channel while a second amp is turned on, the amp sound will pan, but the DI remains in mono. The only thing that affects it is muting the volume of that channel. I should also add that this problem is the same for presets on the pod as well as any dual amp patches I have downloaded from customtone. This leads me to believe it could be a global routing setting, as I've heard that you can route the DI to the s/pdif out to capture it separately from the amp sound. However, I've gone through every setting on this thing and not only can I not even find a setting that would allow me to route the DI to a different output, but I can't for the life of me figure out how to NOT hear the DI through the second amp channel. If anyone has any idea what this could be and how to fix it, I would be forever in your debt, as I have talked to several people now that own the same unit that have never heard of this problem and I've searched all over the internet to no avail. I've also put in a ticket with support to see if they can help me. Thanks in advance to anyone who might have some insight. Luke
