Can I record with only the UX1 dry signal?

Thanks for your response! -
Hey folks, Can I record with only a guitar inputted to my UX1 "INSTRUMENT" jack, and without any other software installed, (such as the "moneky" gearbox or whatever it was) ? The UX1 works as my general sound driver, but I don't get an input signal on an audio track in Mixcraft. Thanks much!
