Thanks, that is just what I meant. I bought the Spider V cause I wanted something relatively cheap that I could practice with to see if I wanted to get back into guitar. It seems I do, so I guess I'll be buying another amp.

Hi, I have had the Spider V for two years now. It is great, however, I am looking always looking for new sounds. I want to be able to use pedals and tabletop amps with the Spider V To get a flat sound, do I simply need to turn off all of the effects? How would any of you go about creating a clean 'flat' sound? Or would I be better off buying a cab for the tabletop amps? Have a nice day David
