I have some usefull ideas for the Helix ecosystem for the next firmware update.
1st: It would be really usefull to have a meter at the input block just like in Helix Native to have a visual of the signal that inputs the converters in the harware Helix and HX edit. By doing this you can see the gap between differents pickups output to better match them with a gain adjustment within the input block.
So in one place you have a gain ajustment that can be triggered by snapshots too, the input gate, the -15dB pad, DI routing,etc.
2nd: It would be really usefull to have a remote in HX edit to enable the tuner and use it like in Helix Native.
3rd: It would be usefull to have a DI output routing within the input block, I mean to have the ability right at the input bloc to route the signal directly to an output of the hardware for studio recording.
By doing this we save a path that can be used for the processing and the ability to not having to tweak the preset to have a DI that goes directly to an output within an existing preset with the processed signal to the other output at the same time.
4th: It would be usefull to have the ability to disable the mode, preset/snapshot and tuner/tap tempo footswitches to configurate them as the other footswitches. By doing this someone could make a preset that have 6 stomboxes on the top row and 6 snapshots on the bottom and vice-versa. Or 12 sanpshots, or 12 stompboxes, you get the point. This change would be found in the footwitches preference menu.
Thanks for the Line6 developpement team for checking these ideas and implement them in the Helix ecosystem.
