  1. hi, i use an exp pedal to control Mix, which becomes Loop playback volume, in Classic Looper mode. Additionally, in Classic Looper mode, the other 4 knobs Time - Repeats - Tweek - Tweaze become the Class Looper built-in delay controls. Assuming anyone reading here understands that to assign, eg, the exp ped heel-to-toe to Mix for Classic Looper VOLUME PLAYBACK as per the manual, there is no button to hold down, like as assign values button, you simply turn a knob(s) with exp pedal at one position, then you move the pedal to another position and turn the knob again; that sets/assigns kob(s) parameters the exp pedal. Done. Ok, so Exp pedal is assigned, as per manual, to control (Classic) Loop playback volume (Mix knob). Problem: after the above assignment f you turn the “built-in” delay knobs — the exp pedal gets assigned to those, too. So, when you ride that exp ped loop playback volume you hear, eg, time running up and down… and whatever else of those 4 (classic looper built-in delay) knobs. My only solution has been to not use the Classic Looper built-in delay. Or, turn them all to zero and try to get the exp ped NOT to do that. Can someone test this or tell what I am doing wrong. That “built-in” delay is one the reasons I bought it. Thank you
  2. Just updated DL4 mkii with Oct. , 2024 1.10 update. Hoping the noise would be gone. NOPE. Just plug the pedal into amp, no instrument or anything else plugged to pedal. Same noise as when bought and could never use it 1.5 years. There ought to be class action lawsuit to get our money back. Hey Line 6, want to refund this purchase? This is a terrible situation. noise demo video,
  3. I’ve gotten lots of support through emailing through the support system line 6, but never has my problems been solved. I have a particular problem with expression pedals, and what not but I don’t even need to try to solve that because the pedal is so noisy it’s unusable. I thought after the 1.0.1 update it was quieter, but it wasn’t. I’m referring to simply plugging the pedal into my fender deluxe reverb amp with no instrument plugged into it and turning the amp on unplugged the pedal it’s quiet as a dream plugged the pedal in and it’s unusable the noise makes it unusable. Can I get a confirmation? I told line 6 I was gonna go buy a new one just to see if it had the same problem. And then send it back if it does. I also asked him if I could send the one I have to them for repair. They told me where to send it. but because when I first got it, it was so noisy. I just kinda didn’t address it very much so I’m out of warranty and just over the last six months. I’ve tried to get it going again and it’s just too noisy. I got it going great, but it’s way too noisy in any mode without any instrument plugged in as I said above and that’s with the microphone level turned all the way down if you turn the microphone level up to eight or nine or almost all the way up it gets more noisy, but it’s already useless with that on zero. This is terrible. I have an old one that’s heavily modified and the only damn thing I need it is more time on the looper. I have lots of loopers so I’m not interested in what else I can use for a looper. I have a very particular use structure. That the previous dl4 works perfectly for.
  4. I use a splitter on the dl4mkii expression. one side 5 is a foot switch for accessing (classic) looper mode. the other 6 is for an expression pedal controlling mix (looper level). Works fine — except i think it’s weird the loop keeps playing when switched out of looper mode. Question: today i tried the 1-switch looper. Something is causing it not to go into record. the 5 footswitch, according to the global settings in the manual only for classic looper, ok, but why won’t the 1-switch looper work after setting Tap to 1-switch looper? thanks
