Is the send active without a send block?

1 guitar with two outs running to three amps.

I have a bass pickup under the low e&a strings and to a separate out. One chain is dedicated to this out. The other chain for the guitar signal. Since I cannot separate the guitar channel further I cannot run a wet/dry.

I'm curious if the HXFX is limited to 2 chains due to unit read out limitations. If that is the case, I wish line 6 would provide the functionality (even if then the chain couldn't be adjusted from the unit, but only from the desktop). I run a stereo out plus a bass channel (Local H style) and it is unfortunate that I am limited to only stereo effects instead of a modified wet/dry, which is what I would prefer. Perhaps, line 6 could provide a fork of the firmware with the understanding that other functionality may be lost. I have never once adjusted the chain from the unit itself, not do I plan to, so an extra chain at the expense of on the fly chain adjustment would be a godsend for me. I have the blocks and the ins/outs for it, but alas. I do understand that my set up is weird, but, like then you could run the whole band through the unit. Pretty please?
