  1. Hi guys, sorry for the late response. I had actually given up on hope fixing this as had so many suggestions and tips with nothing working and thought I'd just live with the older firmware but decided to have another crack... And I've fixed it!! So it was pretty easy and thought I'd just share in case anyone else ever stumbles across this same issue, steps as follows: Install archived driver for Helix dating back to 2017 install line 6 updater of the same year (*note - I had to use a Windows 10 pc. Windows 11 laptop or macbook wasn't working with this and still having the same issue of driver error as the older drivers were not compatible) Turn on Line 6 updater in offline mode, and manually install the driver (note without previous steps of installing archived driver and earlier version of line 6 updater, the helix WILL NOT register at all in Line 6 updater) Once latest firmware installed on Helix, update to latest Helix driver and version of Line 6 Updater, and the Helix will again be picked up within Line 6 Updater. Just to let everyone know I have just done this now and have had an initial "Boot failure, entering update mode!" message pop up on the Helix. I've just re-installed the latest firmware to the Helix again and is working perfectly. Cheers for the help on here datacommando and silverhead!
  2. Cheers for your reply Silverhead. Sorry, misuse of words, did indeed mean that the helix is not being recognised when saying "register". Everything you have said I have previously tried with absolutely no luck. It will not pick up through HX Edit or Line 6 Updater that the helix is connected, regardless of which version of HX Edit I have tried. (Downloaded earlier versions to see if the outdated firmware of the helix was no longer picked up on HX Edit v3.80) If you have any more ideas of what it could possibly be I'm open to tryin anything, just don't have a clue where to go from here and havent had anything back from Line 6 Support.
  3. Hi all, just bought a Helix Rack unit second hand and I'm unable to get it to register on HX Edit, Line 6 Updater or Line 6 Central. Now I've already created a ticket with Line 6 and quick response from them but didn't solve the issue so still waiting to hear back but wondering if anyone on here has had a similar issue with any of there gear with outdated firmware?? I've done all the standard troubleshooting that I can think of - different leads, different computers running windows 10 and 11, tried downloading older versions of the updater and hx edit in case the old firmware was no longer picked up by latest updates, and of course followed the instructions from Line 6 support that they had suggested. I've spent some time going through forums to see what other people have done with "similar" issues and haven't had any luck so far. Any technical gurus out there that would like to throw around some ideas would be great, would really appreciate it. Cheers in advance, Rob.
