EDIT: Went back to the OEM footswitch - the barely audible "thump" when switching channels was triggering long delays and reverbs so needed a silent switching option.

So I saw in a Blackstar forum where a guy hooked up an HT60 successfully, so I decided to just give it a go. TRS cable from the amp to the HX effects will switch the channel if you set the switch to monitor Tip or Tip/Ring. Ring only will change the Voice on the clean channel. There is a slight audible thump when changing channels that is not present using the OEM footswitch, but other than that is appears to be functioning. No sparks, smoke, fire, ect. so far.

New HX Effects owner here - using a Blackstar HT5 MK II connected via 4CM. I have an expression pedal in one CTRL input and would like to use the other to channel switch the amp. The amp's footswitch is a 1/4" TRS cable and the two button switch controls amp channel and "voice". I would be happy just switching the channel as I don't change "voice" that often. I have contacted the manufacturers - here's their response: Blackstar: "It appears that will not be compatible. There’s a little more to the HT5RMKII’s footswitch connection than that. Those amps are using a TRS (Tip Ring Sleeve) connection and there is +15 Volts on the sleeve." Line6: "Blackstar will know their amp better than us, but our circuit for amp switching is a pretty basic pseudo-latching setup. I would defer to them that these 2 products are not likely compatible for this feature- though it likely won't hurt to try. I would suggest searching some forums- there's always a good chance that someone has experience with this set up and can give a definitive answer." So I'm posting here in hopes of finding that "definitive answer." Is anyone using the HX Effects to channel switch the HT5 MK II? If so, how are you setting it up?
