Thanks for the info. There is no beep or anything like that when connected to PC, just get a message from the L6 Edit program that it cannot detect HD500. Looks like I'll have to replace the port and/or chip then.....

Thanks for sticking with me on this one Hurghanico, the USB looks intact. FW V2.10 and USB FW v0.00 are very old, is there a way I can remove them from the unit without being connected to PC?

Hi I'm new here and I wonder if anyone can help. I just bought an HD500 used. All seems fine with the unit itself but when I downloaded the latest HD500 Edit software (Version 4.2.7.7 Released 6/11/19) for my Windows 10 laptop, it does not detect the unit. I have tried a new USB cable with the same result. I have the latest Monkey version 1.77 installed too. On the unit itself the setup screen tells me I have Flash FW V2.10 and USB FW v0.00. Any ideas what might be missing? Thanks
