  1. Hello Hi Hoping someone can end my frustration this seems like a simple setup problem. I have 8 mics into the UX8 and want to record on 8 mono channels in Poertracks pro, Im experimenting with 1 channel then will expand to all 8. The UX8 settings are in the ASIO driver window separate to PT, there I have set each of the 8 channels to mic and mono. In PT I have set the channel by right clicking in track view to audio track and mono. Changing from stereo to mono in PT dosn't seen to change anything in the tracks view i.e. the track still shows as a left and right channel which may be fine. While recording it shows one side i.e left with nothing and right with a bar graph indicating signal amount I presume. It likely would be fine if it stayed like this but when I save the file it bumps left and right onto two channels> I wish to keep evey thing on one channel i.e. mono im sure this is possible. In the asio driver setup it does seem to group the inputs into pairs i.e. 4 pairs with no option I can find to separate. This might also be fine if PT has a setting to .separate into two tracks but cant find it Seems like a simple setup problem but darn its got me stumped.
  2. Does anyone know what channels the toneport ux8 front guitar jacks feed? It is a 8 channel interface so i’m assuming the 2 guitar jack do not make 10. If they are 1&2 what happens to the mic inputs on those channels if guitars are plugged in. Thanks
  3. Hi expert users, I am successfully using the UX8 to record multiple channels simultaneously as intended. I am using Powertracks pro 2019 multitrack software. My issue is getting some sort of level monitoring for the input signal strength within the software. Powertracks has a VU meter that seems to work for tracks one or 2 cant seem to set it to other tracks. IIn the ASIO drivers set up for UX8 which is accessed within the PT software the UX8 has a spot where you can set hardware to monitor channnels in pairs i.e. 1/2 3/4/ etc however it only works on the 1/2/ setting, any other settings the meters dont see any signal even though i know it is there as Im recording it. Anyone have experience with this?
